Life is a big occasion...Made up of few good moments... Moments which make you feel alive...Moments which make you feel wild... Moments which make you feel some thing special about yourself or, perhaps moments which make you feel small, powerless entity. The concept to feel alive is extensively but wrongly used... Thus, I shall consecrate the term "alive" through this travelogue of Belur - Kemmangundi - Mangalore - Madikeri a never ending journey of 1061 Kilometers for all. Everyone knew that I was busy planning, After deliberating on Wayand, Kunnr, Munnar, Kodekanal, Kanyakumari, I finally settled on visiting Kemmanagundi, Kudremukha. Surprisingly Chikmagalur isn't all that popular amongst leisure seekers, I just wonder Why? But does draw trekkers and thrill seekers all the year around... Now it was the moment of truth and I was finally on my way to chikkamangalore. Well finally we (Me, Vijay and Nagi) decided to go and find out about the place... The plan for this trip

Nothing much to write about 287 kilometer journey till Belur , After Hassan On the way to Belur , we found A small, but cute lake, by the time we got down to the lake it was already quite Bright. We did take a picture, which I thought was great at that time. It was 6.15 AM we where in Belur , Lot sooner then planned, After much need refreshing break at a Coffee shop, we where on the move towards Chennakesava temple. The only main attraction in Belur is the Chennakesava temple complex one among several marvelous contribution by Hoysala kings. The temple is one of the finest examples of Hoysala architecture. It was built by king Vishnuvardhana in commemoration of his victory over the Cholas at Talakad in 1117 CE. Legend has it that it took 103 years to complete and Vishnuvardhana's grandson Veera Ballala completed the task. Magnificent Rock carvings Having Spent half an hour inside the temple took leave from Belur . Which will be remembered as anoth

Morning came early on this day as well; it was around 10.30 in the morning and Sun shining. We were all ready and packed to give the sights around this hill, we begun the trek to Z-point, highest point in Kemmangundi , bole-to- ' zhakhaas ' View point, Quiet satisfied, recharged up, mesmerized, and carving for more after a good last night sleep... We moved around towards the Peck, on the way just crossed a small water fall known as Shanthi falls, the path from there is a long zig zag path, in the direction away from the peak for a long while. though the trek was not arduous but was certainly rewarding. It felt good though to sweat out after some time; anyway, the prize of 4 kms trek was just beautiful. Standing on the top of peak, watching whole world as small as ant, I planned to build a bungalow there, funny huh!! That moment was enough....I was relaxed till last cell of my body. Then in the snap of a second I knew what Sir. Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing would ha

On second day we travelled less in terms of distance but managed to visit quite a few places. It was more of chicken run - run here & there visit a place & next moment back to square one. But day 3 Sunday was another good day. started slowly and the day started at 9.00AM, still early on a Sunday morning :). Happy me. Nice and sunny most of the time, although a bit humid as always in Magalore , and the wind has picked up a little bit." Plans kept changing with in moments…. Finally it was Ullan beach and sultan battery (my favorite place in Mangalore ) and head to words Madikeri to measure thewater level at Abbey falls and Harangi dam!!! and Finally head back to bangy .... So now when everything was planned, Our Machines Zoomed for the day and towards Ullal beach at 10.00 am, But as I was driving toward the beach, heard shocks making little noise, which I didn ’t hear because of the traffic on the way, I felt some thing wrong with fork,Even though forks responding t
