Life is a big occasion...Made up of few good moments... Moments which make you feel alive...Moments which make you feel wild... Moments which make you feel some thing special about yourself or, perhaps moments which make you feel small, powerless entity. The concept to feel alive is extensively but wrongly used... Thus, I shall consecrate the term "alive" through this travelogue of Belur - Kemmangundi - Mangalore - Madikeri a never ending journey of 1061 Kilometers for all.




Everyone knew that I was busy planning, After deliberating on Wayand, Kunnr, Munnar, Kodekanal, Kanyakumari, I finally settled on visiting Kemmanagundi, Kudremukha. Surprisingly Chikmagalur isn't all that popular amongst leisure seekers, I just wonder Why? But does draw trekkers and thrill seekers all the year around... Now it was the moment of truth and I was finally on my way to chikkamangalore. Well finally we (Me, Vijay and Nagi) decided to go and find out about the place...

The plan for this trip was very simple. Firiday night drive down through Kuduremukha ghat via Charmadi/Shiradi ghat and trek to Kuduremukka Pick (33 Kms Trek) Camp there for the night and Saturday move towards Kemmangundi explore places in and around Kemmangundi and Sunday late evening start towards Bangalore. No Matter!!! How hard I plan!!! The Road Always had many Surprises for me..

At Friday 19, 2008 1.00 am Our Machines roared when everything around us was standstill and we took off towards chikmagalur.

" Day 1. Bagalore - Nelamangala - Hassan -Belur- Chikkamangalore - Mullaiyanagiri - Baba Budan Giri - Badra wild life santury - Kennamagundi "

" Day 2. Kennamagundi - Z-point - Hebbe Falls - Chikkamagalore - Mudigere - Dharmastala - Mangalore"

" Day 2. Mangalore- Ullal Beach- Devarakolli Falls - Madikeri - Kusalnagar - Mandaya - Ramanagaram - Bangalore "

Sunday was gone even before I got a hang of it, Initially after Bangy to Hubli ride , wanted to do a short ride from Hubli to Pune on 1 April 2009 and take rest for two days at home, but later decided against it. I was in for a Two day ride. All the plannes were not happning at all. So was not sure as to where and what. Thought I might as well spin the bottle in the morning and pick a direction! Yeah right. Couldn't catch sleep thinking where to ride. With the original destination being Pune, I felt like doing more and visiting the Charismatic sea shore of Ratnagiri and pristine hills of Mahabaleswar. . So 12.15 am monday I took the Eicher map and Decided it would be Hubli-Ratnagiri via Kolapur day1, Ratnagiri-Mahabaleshwar day2 and finally mahabaleshwar to Pune via panchagini. Some plan which helped me to catch sleep. My Pulsar was all serviced and ready for much some miles. Finally its was happening, long ride. One Life To Ride

Jullay!! I am yet to recover from my excursion to Leh-Ladakh; the pictures are still stored in my memory. Here is a quick post to recollect some of my greatest 'Ladakhi' moments. Some places are such that when you think of capturing their beauty in words, you feel afraid; that you will do injustice to them. Ladakh was such an experience for me. I was so overwhelmed by its grandeur and visual experiences that I kept postponing this blog for months. I would stare at the pictures and loose myself in those unforgettable moments. The very first thing that stays in my mind are the images of the snow capped mountains ringing the brownish landscape of the cold desert-Ladakh. You can see lakes, monasteries and great landscapes, but as you scoop down the mountains on a bike it takes your breath away.
